MINUTES OF PUBLIC MEETING OF THE MONTESSORI EDUCATION CENTRE – CHARTER SCHOOL

ACCORDING TO ARS 38-431.01

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING HELD August 12, 2021

A public meeting of the Montessori Education Centre – Charter School Board of Directors was convened at 8:33am on August 12, 2021 in the Director’s Office at 2834 E. Southern Ave, Mesa, Arizona. The members of the Montessori Education Centre – Charter School Board of Directors present at the meeting via Zoom; Laura Davis (Craig), Rachel Lichtenberger, Jacquelyn Scott.  Stephanie Ord and Tammy Whiting attended in person. Board of Director member absent: no members were absent

The following matters were discussed, considered, and decided at the meeting:

The meeting was called to order at 8:33am.

1. The Revised #1 Budget for the 2021 – 22 school year was presented. Laura Davis (Craig) made a motion to approve the Adopted budget, Rachel Lichtenberger seconded the motion. A vote was held and the motion was passed 5 – 0.
2. The Credit Card purchases were presented. Stephanie Ord made a motion to approve the Credit Card purchases. Jacquelyn Scott seconded the motion. A vote was held and the motion was passed 5 – 0.
3. The Consent Agreement with the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools was presented. Discussion was held, Rachel Lichtenberger and Tammy Whiting presented to the members of the Board of Directors that we are in compliance at this time. Additionally, we have restructured our administrative staff, assigning roles, that will help us stay in compliance going forward. Laura Davis (Craig) made a motion to approve the Consent Agreement. Stephanie Ord seconded the motion. A voice vote was held, this is a record of the votes:

   3. Jacquelyn Scott – yes
   4. Stephanie Ord – yes
   5. Tammy Whiting – yes
4. The Instruction Time Model was presented. Stephanie Ord made a motion to approve the Instruction Time Model. Laura Davis (Craig) seconded the motion. A voice vote was held and the motion was passed 5 – 0.

   3. Jacquelyn Scott – yes
   4. Stephanie Ord – yes
   5. Tammy Whiting – yes

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15am.
